The TAG Heuer Carrera was created in 1963 for motorsport’s extreme demands on precision and clarity. Inspired by the legendary Carrera Panamericana race, the model quickly became a favourite among drivers and enthusiasts. The focus was already then on clean design, optimal legibility, and functional aesthetics — principles that still define the Carrera collection. When TAG Heuer reintroduced the classic glassbox design for the Carrera’s 60th anniversary, it became clear how timeless Jack Heuer’s design language is. The new 41 mm version takes this further and complements the more heritage-oriented 39 mm model with a clearer modern expression and stronger presence on the wrist. Glassbox — shape, depth, and clarity
The domed sapphire crystal stretches seamlessly over the dial and flange (with double anti-reflective treatment) and creates a clear three-dimensional depth. Light is caught from all angles and reinforces both structure and details. The absence of a date contributes to a clean and focused impression where the chronograph’s functions take centre stage. The dials are consistently built up with tone-on-tone registers, faceted indices, and rhodium-plated hands with Super-LumiNova, ensuring clarity regardless of lighting conditions. The 41 mm stainless steel case (14.17 mm thick, 47.48 mm lug-to-lug, 100 m water resistance) has the crown at 3 with pump pushers at 2 and 4, and comes on a seven-row “beads-of-rice” bracelet.

The blue version (ref. CBS2113.BA0053) is the most classic interpretation in the collection. The circular-brushed dial gives a discreet life to the surface, while azuré-finished subregisters create depth without disturbing the whole. The teal green model (ref. CBS2115.BA0053) introduces a colour that has quickly become a new signature for TAG Heuer. The shade shifts subtly depending on light and gives the watch a more contemporary and playful expression, while legibility remains uncompromising. The black version (ref. CBS2114.BA0053) is clearly inspired by the racing world. All models are driven by the in-house Calibre TH20-01, an automatic chronograph movement (a no-date version of the TH20-00) with an 80-hour power reserve, 33 jewels, and fewer than 170 parts. The combination of column wheel and vertical clutch gives a smooth and precise chronograph function, while the transparent caseback lets the wearer experience the movement’s architecture in detail. A discreet but symbolic detail is the engraved Victory Wreath on the case’s lower right lug — a tribute to achievement, endurance, and TAG Heuer’s long connection to the world of competition.
