George Russell became an IWC ambassador in 2022 through the Mercedes team’s partnership with the brand, and took over the role as the team’s leading watch face after Hamilton’s move. In 2026, IWC launched two limited-edition Pilot’s Watches designed together with Russell.

IWC – and his own Pilot’s editions

Russell signed with IWC Schaffhausen in 2022 via Mercedes-AMG Petronas and, after Hamilton’s departure, became the brand’s leading F1 ambassador. In 2026, IWC presented two limited-edition Pilot’s Watches designed with Russell – in black ceramic with blue details, 1,063 pieces each (a nod to race number 63). He frequently wears a Portugieser Annual Calendar (“I wear the Portugieser all the time”) and a Bamford-built Ingenieur in black ceramic. Almost everything he wears is IWC – his only well-documented watch outside the brand is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 with a turquoise “Tiffany” dial, seen on holiday in 2023 (his partner Carmen wore a matching smaller version).

The price tagWhat do George Russell’s watches cost?

IWC in the upper mid-range

IWC’s Pilot’s and Ingenieur models normally sit in the 60,000–150,000 SEK range, and Russell’s own limited editions are among the more sought-after. A collection built around a genuine ambassadorship rather than pure investment objects.
