WHY WE LOVE IT The 1920s and 1930s were the golden years of American watchmaking, and Hamilton was a bright star in the horological firmament. Ties to Swiss brands like Rolex and Aegler resulted in the creation of some of the finest watches ever made in the United States. This watch, a Sekron Doctor’s Watch, is one of the most elegant – and, at the time it was minted, accurate. This particular timepiece is, without question, an Art Deco masterpiece – stately and subdued with a handsomely-aged cream dial and a black leather strap, it has all the makings of a distinctive dress watch for both men and women alike. It features a 10K, yellow gold-filled Wadsworth case with holey lugs, a blued steel handset, stylized Arabic numerals, and a hand-wound Hamilton Calibre 980B movement. Strap this handsome piece on and you’ll be instantly transported back to the golden age of American watchmaking. But don’t take our word for it… Try it on for size! OVERALL CONDITION The case is in very good condition overall showing normal wear consistent with age and use. White dial with printed numerals shows heavy poatination throughout with matching blued-steel handset. Unsigned crown.
