This time we got our hands on something really cool and genuinely unique, a long way from what you would find in a typical watch shop. We were given the chance to handle IFL Watches’ latest creation.
IFL Watches has built a name for customising watches and hand-painting dials and components together with The Dial Artist. The concept has become wildly popular, and their painted Casio GA-2100 “CasiOak” models in various designs tend to sell out fast in the online store.
This time they have taken things up a couple of levels.
For the first time they worked on an automatic watch, and not just any watch, but one from our favourite brand, Oris, choosing the Divers Sixty-Five. They then painted the dial in a theme reminiscent of some of their earlier Casio work, but here matched it to the watch’s original turquoise indices, as you can see.
We had the chance to handle the watch and take our own photos, and, as you will see and hear in the video below, we really like it.
These are two brands we admire, and even though it is not an official collaboration, we think it is brilliant that IFL Watches chose to base a piece on an Oris.
It is a big, bold step for IFL Watches to take on a watch of this calibre, and quietly flattering for Oris that one of its models was chosen as the canvas.
The base watch is a standard Oris Divers Sixty-Five with the grey dial and turquoise indices.
What IFL has done is hand-paint turquoise, grey, and white dots across the dial, creating a really cool sense of depth and movement, an effect that has earned it the “Tiffany Sky” nickname.

We went in expecting to like this watch, simply because we admire what both brands stand for. What we did not expect was just how well-balanced the result would be.
It is stylish and easy to wear, yet anyone who looks closely sees immediately that it is something completely unique.
That is exactly what we love as watch enthusiasts: a piece you can wear to the office and to a watch event alike, and still stand out. Quite simply, a complete hit.
