In March 2026 Bremont presented the Altitude MB Meteor “Felix the Cat” — a collaboration that genuinely caught our attention. Created together with Universal Products & Experiences, it is a limited version of the Altitude MB Meteor, this time with none other than Felix the Cat in the cockpit.
This is exactly the kind of unexpected but considered mix we love. A British tool watch with roots in military aviation meets one of the world’s most recognisable cartoon characters — and suddenly you get both a history lesson and a smile on top.
An icon in the air — “watch your six”
Felix the Cat has long been linked with US naval aviation, especially the VFA-31 “Tomcatters” squadron, whose insignia carries the character — a legacy that traces back to the original VF-3 squadron. The phrase “Watch Your Six” — taken from fighter pilots’ clock-position terminology — sets the tone for the campaign and ties flight tactics to playful self-awareness. Created back in 1919 by Otto Messmer and Pat Sullivan, Felix predates Mickey Mouse and has for decades symbolised luck, courage, and a fearless attitude to adventure. In this version he literally runs off with the number 6 on the dial — a subtle but charming detail that lifts the whole without compromising functionality.
Altitude MB Meteor — built for extreme conditions
The base for the collaboration is Bremont’s Altitude MB Meteor, the latest evolution of the iconic MB concept developed in close partnership with Martin-Baker’s ejection seats. These are watches engineered to handle extreme stress. The limited “Felix the Cat” version comes with a 42 mm case (12.23 mm thick) in Grade 2 titanium, full DLC treatment in “stealth black”, a Trip-Tick construction with a knurled PVD titanium barrel, and an internal rotating bezel controlled via the crown at 4 o’clock.
The black dial is broken up by strong yellow accents — inspired by aviation safety warning markings — and white Super-LumiNova with blue emission for optimal legibility. The characteristic seconds hand with its yellow-and-black “ejection pull” loop remains, a clear nod to the original’s MBI heritage.
Technology that matches the design
Under the hood works Bremont’s BB14-AH movement, based on a La Joux-Perret G100 calibre: 24 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, and a 68-hour power reserve, driving central hours, minutes, and seconds plus a date at 3 o’clock. The movement is mounted in a flexible rubber suspension to absorb shocks, while a soft-iron ring shields against magnetic fields. The caseback is open and decorated with a Felix theme, the gunmetal-grey rotor and bridges with Geneva stripes visible through the sapphire. Water resistance is 100 metres, and the watch comes either on a DLC-treated titanium bracelet with quick-release or on a black leather strap with a clear box-stitch detail.
A limited edition for collectors
The model is produced in 500 examples globally, priced at around USD 6,850 on the bracelet and USD 6,450 on the strap. The combination of a military tool watch and a pop-culture icon makes this a collector’s piece that stands out — not just visually, but in the story it tells. This is more than a playful detail on the dial.
